High net worth buyers snap up frontline beach properties at Portugal’s Praia D’El Rey Golf and Beach Resort.

Money talks in tough times, and there is still no shortage of high net worth buyers for prime beachfront properties at Praia D’El Rey Golf & Beach Resort on Portugal’s Silver Coast, just 50 minutes north of Lisbon.

In the last twelve weeks, with no advertising, 80% of the 14 two and three bedroom apartments at The Beach Residences, which all have spectacular sea views (see above) and range in price from €350,000 to €550,000, have been snapped up by buyers who recognize their rarity value and investment potential.

Buoyed by this success, Praia D’El Rey has just announced the official launch on 30th September 2008 of their final phase of beach front homes.

Called the Beachfront, these are the resort’s most spectacular properties to date – 53 two, three and four bedroom penthouses, duplexes and apartments right on the sand dunes, all with direct panoramic ocean views (see above). Prices range from €458,000 to €1.4m, all fully furnished and with a 3 year 5% guaranteed rental income.

Eight of the 53 apartments have already been sold to high net worth buyers in search of spectacular beach properties which combine high quality, cutting edge design and a realistic price point.



New planning regulations in force since 1994 now prohibit any building within 500m of the coastline, meaning these contemporary beach homes are the last of their kind in Portugal and have great rarity value.

All these generously proportioned homes boast direct frontline ocean views (see below) and are grouped around an infinity pool and terrace, overlooking miles of sandy beaches.  Owners will have access to their own private gym and automatic membership of Praia D’El Rey’s world famous 18 hole golf course. The resort’s 5 star Marriott hotel, tennis centre, restaurants, Atlantic Spa and shops are all within easy reach.
