The Resort
There’s a wide range of restaurants and bars with more to be opened in 2008. Our club house is open from breakfast through to midnight most nights and also operates a take away service. In the hotel, there are several restaurants; The Cliffs serves food overlooking the ocean, the Lobby Bar inside serves light food all day, whilst The Terrace and Sharx Bar and Grill give you the al fresco option. Finally, Romy, a wonderful gourmet restaurant, brings wonderful Mediterranean cuisine to the resort.
The resort has a number of bars with more due for completion at Vila da Praia in 2008. Currently, the club house has a great bar area and during the busy months, in the club house complex, Zanzibar is opened offering late night drinks and cocktails. In the hotel, The Cliffs and Atlantico Bar provide drinks in wonderful settings.
On the resort there are currently two stores open, the General Store – stocking a wide range of household goods, and the Grocery Store – stocking fresh produce for home cooking. In the next phase of Vila da Praia, there are planned X shops.
You can hire cars through the hotel at a discounted rate.
Sunshine
Due to the influence of the Atlantic Ocean, The Silver Coast has a temperate climate throughout the year. Enjoys a moderate amount of sunshine all year and the days are particularly hot in the summer months.
Rainfall
Rainfall is fairly heavy in the winter months in The Silver coast, and then drops steadily until the height of summer, when there is almost no rain at all. The autumn, although still warm, can produce some wet days; the wettest month on average is November.
Temperature
Is rarely very cold, and maintains a pleasantly mild climate, even during the winter months. However, the summer months bring days of consistent heat.

Taxis are available from the airport to the resort, take around 45 minutes and should cost less than €100. Cars can also be hired directly from many different companies which are sited in the arrivals halls of Lisbon, Porto and Faro’s airport. Residents, or resort guests can also pre-book through Praia D’El Rey and will be given a discount.
The Praia D’El Rey Card Benefit Programme provides generous discounts on many services as well as in the restaurant and bar in both the club house and the Marriott Hotel. Preferential tee times and the entrance fee to the Golf Club is exempt for purchasers of property direct through the developers Praia D’El Rey and preferential tee times – please see the golf section for details of costs.
Our IT department has a full-function IT helpdesk and can help with almost any problem, whilst public Internet access is available at the club house. Broadband connections, along with satellite systems can be installed and maintained by our resort management service – please contact ManBeltico for a full list of prices and services.
